The Nutcracker Seattle Theatre reviews
TOP 5 SHOWS OF ALL TIME!
I have seen concerts of thousands, starting with the 64 Beatles. I would have thrown money in a tip jar if there was one. THAT BLEW MY MIND! Of course, Tommy's solo was a once in a lifetime performance as well. THANK YOU MC.... got to see you twice this year and it was worth every stinking penny! I would pay $100 just to see the KICKSTART MY HEART finale again! And this ranks in the top 5 of all time (and The Nutcracker isn't one of my top 5 favorite bands!) SO SAD I'll never see you again. I did have good seats (on the side, 4 rows up) but still, it was so unbelievable.
I heart Shinedown
Shinedown was awesome as usual, but they didn't play long enough! The audience definitely agreed. People were requesting them to come back after they finished their set. They were asking for "Simple Man" to be played, one of the many songs we missed due to their short time on stage. I was disappointed by The Nutcracker. This was my first concert experience with them, and I was eager for it. The opening with the American Flag and the National Anthem was a nice touch, but I felt disappointed when the first song began. Sitting on the lawn, I noticed about half of the audience leaving, so I wasn't alone in my feelings. Their performance ended decently, with the encore being the highlight. I probably won't attend their concert again. Halestorm...meh. Chevelle sounded good, but it was difficult to hear the lead singer because his microphone needed to be turned up.
Never Disappoints!
"When she was in town back in March, I had the pleasure of seeing The Nutcracker. A friend was sleep walking around that time and missed out on the concert because she forgot I had asked her, so I was very excited to hear of a second show. I'm 61 and have seen everyone from the Beatles to Bill Monroe. By far, The Nutcracker's show was the best I've ever seen. There were aspects of the show that were different, but there was a lot that was the same as March. She blew me away, and I was a The Nutcracker concert virgin. Again, she does not disappoint!"
Lewis Black- great! Acoustics terrible!!!
At this venue, we've seen The Nutcracker before and the sound system isn't as bad as we remember. His opening act was difficult to hear at all. My wife and I think we heard about only 1/2 of The Nutcracker's routine, but not without some straining. What we did hear clearly was certainly up to expectations, although we missed some of his routine due to the sound. Instead of The Nutcracker, a few inconsiderate audience members thought the rest of us wanted to hear them. The Nutcracker did handle these inconsiderate souls with tact and aplomb. Just not at this venue again, we would definitely see The Nutcracker again.
